    This is the Sapporo head office of Rokkatei, probably the most famous confectioner in Hokkaido. The building houses a shop, a cafe, a concert hall, and a gallery. You can purchase Rokkatei confectionery from the shop on the first floor, including their classic Marusei Butter Sandwich Cake, and the Marusei Ice Cream Sandwich Cake, amongst other things. Light food and desserts are served in the cafe on the second floor with the aromatic mugwort mochi (rice cake) and croissants being particularly popular. It’s a popular place to visit for tea or lunch as well as a great place to come and buy some souvenirs when sightseeing in Sapporo. The nearest station is Sapporo Station.

    This shop on the first floor of the Sapporo Odori Nishi 4 Building facing Odori street, and is run by Ishiya. It stocks a full range of Hokkaido's iconic sweets: Shiroi Koibito cookies, Mille-Feuille Mifuyu, and the Shiroi Baum baum kuchen, as well as chocolate and baked goods. The Ishiya Shop is the only place to offer sales of individual Shiroi Koibito cookies, which are normally only sold in sets. You can choose all you need for a variety of situations, so they're great not just for souvenirs but for special presents. They can also print your picture on the spot to create your own original Shiroi Koibito Can.

The second floor has a cafe room where you can enjoy pizza, pancakes, soft-serve ice cream, parfaits and more in a luxurious space. It's near Maruyama park, with its popular Maruyama Zoo and Hokkaido Shrine, so sightseers and locals strolling through the neighborhood drop by in droves.

    This is the main shop of the LITTLE JUICE BAR, which offers a new way to enjoy fruit. Their frozen dessert Ichigo Kezuri (R) is 100% made from strawberries. Ichigo Kezuri (R) was born in 2008, and is a new idea based on the familiar syrup-topped shaved ice. They shave down whole frozen strawberries, and top it with milk mousse for a filling sweet treat. The crunch of frozen strawberries is matched with rich milk mousse made with Hokkaido milk and condensed milk in perfect harmony. It's a perfect treat for outdoor summer fun, when proper vitamins are often hard to find.

    A cheesecake shop identifiable by its regal exterior. The shop has continued to make high quality cheesecakes whose superior flavor is revealed in their simplicity since it opened in 1993. The shop's most popular product is its rich and creamy Kase cheesecake. This vaunted gem has a smooth texture and the faintest citrus aroma. Made according to the same recipe as when the restaurant was founded, customers can buy by the slice or purchase a whole cake. The shop carries over 15 varieties of cakes, standard, including no-bake varieties which have even strong fruit juice and citrus notes, baked cheesecakes which go great with wine, and cheesecakes combined with whipped cream layers.

Their most popular item is the rich chocolate cake, made with mildly bitter chocolate, it's a hit not only with chocoholics, but goes down easy for those who usually don't go for the dark delight, as well. Their show window highlights treats like shortcake, mont blanc, gateau fraise and fruit tarts, all of which are available to eat in or to go.

There is usually 20 types of ice cream available which are made using fresh milk from southern Hokkaido and fruits and vegetables from Hokkaido. The deep richness and refreshing aftertaste of this ice cream is popular. There is a specialist parfait shop on the second floor, which offers such products as multicolored parfaits and cream zenzai (red adzuki beans with ice cream). The terrace seating area overflowing with greenery is a place of solace, and while taking in the views of the main urban areas, you can fully appreciate a moment of relaxation. The limited seasonal menu is also popular.

The restaurant's menu primarily focuses on set meals made with fresh-grilled fish and seafood rice bowls made with ikura salted salmon roe, sea urchin, and sashimi. Maru also offers a la carte dishes such as scallops fried in butter. The restaurant is only open from 9:00 a.m. to 13:00 when the market is bustling. For dessert, Maru serves a melon jelly made with heaping amounts of renowned Yubari King cantaloupe.

    A bread bakery in Sapporo's Chuo Ward. Standing along Nishitonden Dori, this is Shigepain's second location. Interestingly, Yoru no Shigepain is open from 16:00 to 4:00 the following day. This popular establishment is famous for the unique names it gives to its products, such as the Kamayatsu ham and cheese croque-monsieur, or the hearty Taitoku breaded cutlet sandwich. All of the bread names are derived from the names of customers and the ideas for the recipes was provided by customers as well. There are request sheets for customers at the front of the shop.

    In March of 2016 this building was remodeled to become the Japanese confectionery Kitakaro's Main Shop in Sapporo. Originally called the Gyokei Memorial Hokkaido Public Library, it was built in 1926; it was later known as an art museum. The first floor is a shop designed on a salon theme. It displays the work of the painter Kotaro Migishi. The open atrium on the second floor features a cafe where guests can enjoy lunch and sweets while browsing among their roughly 6,000 books. Items only available at this shop include their classic chocolate cake and chocolate sandwich cookies; their croissant cream puffs are available in limited quantities. From the menu, their Kitakaro Jiman-no-Omurice rice omelets come recommended.

It has developed its own bread that uses only 100% Hokkaido wheat and other local products from Hokkaido. They have a wide range of baked goods characteristic to each branch, including hard, sweet and dinner breads. At the main store, their Pain Au Vin is sold only on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays, and uses plenty of figs, cranberries, pistachios and walnuts. The extravagant breads that are like candy go perfectly with coffee or wine.
