Hokkaido Abuta-gun Niseko town Chuo street JR Niseko station building

Nupuri is a café located on the premises of JR Niseko Station; the café is very proud of its home-brewed coffee made using spring water from Mt. Yotei. There is also an extensive food menu, with diners being able to enjoy dishes made using delicious-tasting vegetable and rice, which is either grown by the café operators themselves or purchased from local farmers. Nupuri’s superb curry, made using plenty of Chinese yam and bacon, is especially popular. The antique furniture in the café and the jazz music playing in the background create a relaxing atmosphere.

北海道はニセコ地区、JRニセコ駅にあります。テーブルとイスは年季が入ってる。壁に振り子時計が並んでいて、趣があります。落ち着いたお店です。長芋とベーコンの入ったカレーライスをいただきました。辛さを指定するめんどくさい作業は必要ありません（笑）コーヒー付きのセットで満足しました。土曜の昼でしたが、混んでいて順番待ちの人気店です。

Located on Toteppo Street around 10 minutes’ walk from Obihiro Station, Tokachi Toteppo Factory is a shop selling Western-style confectionery made using wheat, milk, butter, eggs, sugar etc. produced locally in the Tokachi region. The shop’s flagship product is its “3-fold Fromage,” which is made from three types of hand-made cheese produced either in Tokachi or elsewhere in Hokkaido; this has a rich, distinctive cheesy flavor. Its heavy stone-walled exterior is eye-catching, and the interior is filled with tables, chairs and furnishings, decorated so as to calm the mind. The store’s motto is “Coffee that any person will say is the best.” It roasts its own coffee beans, carefully valuing the five aspects of coffee “richness,” “fragrance,” “flavor,” “acid taste,” and “bitterness,” and the homemade cakes also go very well with the coffee. From the window on the second floor, customers can look out over Maruyama Park as they relax.
