As eco-friendly vehicles that do not emit carbon dioxide, operation begin in Sapporo City, Hokkaido by the NPO Eco Mobility Sapporo in April 2008. You can use them to enjoy an amazing time relaxingly going about nature-filled tourist areas and the city of Sapporo. The maximum capacity is two adults and one child. In addition to the predefined operating area, it is also possible to travel to specific locations or rent them for short periods of time.

Take joy in the different seasons with skunk cabbage in spring, carpets of flowers in summer, and the changing colors of the leaves in autumn. In autumn too it’s possible to witness a sea of cloud from the observation deck. And also this place was selected by the Ministry of the Environment as the best place to see the brightest stars. Visitors can enjoy the beautiful starry sky on the night tour.

Accepting advanced bookings, he offers trips around all the well known sights from Hakone Town to Motohakone with pick-up and drop-off possible at locations of your choosing. There are various trips you can choose from lasting from 10 minutes on the ‘otameshi course’ and up to 60 minutes on the ‘odaimyo course’. Sit back while Mr. Takanashi recounts stories and the history of Hakone during the trip. Note: Canceled in case of rain

    This is a Monorail operating at Dorogawa River, Tenkawa Village, Yoshino District. Visitors can ride the monorail, with the motif of a log, and access the entrance of the Menfudo Limestone Cave, registered as a World Heritage Site. Visitors can also see the Omine Okugake-michi path, also registered as a World Heritage Site, from the observation deck at the station.

    This is a cable car that runs through Ikoma City, Nara Prefecture. The cable car runs from Toriimae Station, a three-minute walk from Ikoma Station, to Hosenji Station where visitors transfer to Ikoma-sanjo Station. The journey is approximately 16 minutes one way. The cable car is often used to visit Ikomasanjo Amusement Park, only a short walk from Ikoma-sanjo Station. The four types of cars decorated wholly as characters are something to talk about.
  • Iwakuni Castle Ropeway

    The Iwakuni Castle Ropeway runs from in front of Kikko Park in Yokoyama, Iwakuni City, Yamaguchi Prefecture, up to the summit of Shiroyama at a height of about 200 meters. From the window of the 30-person gondola travelers can look out over the former castle town and streets of Iwakuni, Kintai Bridge, one of Japan’s three famous bridges, and the Seto Inland Sea. The journey time is about three minutes one way. Dogs and cats weighing less than 10 kilos can be taken in the gondolas provided they are in a pet cage. At the plaza outside the mountaintop station look out for the mechanical clock which plays music at regular intervals. There is also a play area for children and an observation deck. It takes about 10 minutes to walk from the station at the top to Iwakuni Castle.

    This is an excursion bus leaving bus stop No. 7 at JR Matsue Station at 20-30 minute intervals. It runs a course around the sightseeing spots of Matsue City in approximately 50 minutes. There are two routes, the Lake Line Route and Sunset Course depending on the time. Both routes include sights such as Matsue Castle designated as a National Treasure, and Shiomi Nawate, Matsueshinjiko-onsen Station, Shinji-ko-ohashi Bridge, Shimane Art Museum, and the Lake Shinji Pleasure Boat pier. One day and two day tickets, convenient for sightseeing, are also available.

    This underground trolley bus, the only one of its kind in Japan, operates in the 3.7 kilometer-long Tateyama Tunnel that runs right under Mt. Oyama, the main peak of Mt. Tate. It is notable for how it runs on electricity provided by overhead lines, just like a train. This prevents exhaust gasses from accumulating inside the tunnel and also helps protect the natural environment. The trolley bus departs every 30 minutes and reaches the next station in about 10 minutes. Riding inside the long tunnel that connects Daikanbo Station with Murodo Station almost feels like exploring a cave. Sightseeing information is broadcast on the intercom during the ride, which increases passengers' excitement for the upcoming parts of the Tateyama Kurobe Alpen Route.

    This cable car, which traverses a 400-meters vertical distance at a maximum slope of 31 degrees, connects Kurobedaira Station to Kurobeko Station on the Kurobe Alpen Route. Japan's only completely underground cable car, the entire route was built inside of a tunnel in order to preserve the natural environment and protect the cable car from the snow. Make sure to check out the views from the front of the car. You will feel the excitement of a new adventure beginning as soon as the departure bell rings and the tunnel lights turn on. Passengers love the retro appearance of the cable cars, which have not changed in appearance since entering operation in 1969.

    These busses operate between Bijodaira Station and Murodo Station on the Kurobe Alpen Route, a vertical distance of around 1,500 meters. Mt. Tateyama's Murodo-daira, an area that sees some of the world's heaviest snowfall, is famous for Yuki no Otani. These massive snow walls can be seen from April to June. It is a stunning sight to watch the 20 meter-tall walls pass within centimeters of the busses' windows. Many passengers got off at one of the bus stops along on the route to enjoy its many attractions. These include the area's massive Tateyama cedar trees, a viewing platform where visitors can see Shomyo Falls, and more. Informational videos that provide information on these attractions play on monitors inside the bus.

    These are Gujo-Hachiman's only tourist rickshaws. The three main rickshaw stands are in front of the Former Gujo-Hachiman City Hall Memorial, Gujo-Hachiman Castle Town Plaza, and the Hakurankan. They'll pull you along and give you a tour of the old castle town of Gujo-Hachiman. Currently they only have a single employee pulling the rickshaws, so reservations must be booked in advance. If you let them know ahead of time, you can customize some options like where the rickshaw picks you up. They are also available for events and functions like pulling the bride along during weddings.
  • Yokoteyama Skylator

    A moving walkway located in Yamanouchi Town, Shimotakai County, Nagano Prefecture which can be used to reach the top of Mt. Yokote in about five minutes. Extending up the mountain near National Route 292, the walkway is 200 meters long and has a difference in elevation of 35 meters. Wild grasses and flowers grow along the walkway and riders can enjoy the picturesque view on their way to the top. Thanks to how easy it makes reaching the top, the walkway is a popular sightseeing destination.
