This authentic tearoom was built for the purpose of promoting Uji tea and popularizing Japanese tea ceremony. In addition to serving delicious Uji tea, it also offers tea-serving experiences. "Located in Miyagawa-cho, one of Kyoto's ""Hanamachi"" geisha districts, this shop lets you dress up as a maiko or oiran. To create even more authenticity in the experience, the shop is a renovated Kyoto machiya, once frequented by true maiko. The shop still preserves the original machiya aesthetic, with the aura of the Hanamachi filling every space. They have a variety of plans, including a basic studio photography session, guided walking tour, riksha rides in maiko outfit, and more. The chance to try on some new and luxurious clothing for a whole new you in oiran (courtesan) experience course is also popular"

This store of traditional Iga braid-making is located on the eastern side of Iga Ueno Park. You can experience kumihimo braiding first-hand at the facility. If you make a reservation, it is possible to make either a key holder or bracelet. Using a marudai (round stand frame for making kumihimo), you will be able to make your own Iga kumihimo in about 20 to 30 minutes. On the second floor, there are historical materials that introduce traditional crafts that represent Mie Prefecture such as Iga-yaki ware and Ise-katagami (type of paper stencil for dyeing textiles). In addition, they also exhibit and sell original kumihimo goods including sashes for kimono, scarves, and dolls made from kumihimo.

Was here Iga for a minimum conference so a visit to the museum was a must. Lovely space for someone not familiar with the craft of Japanese braiding. The gift shop has some lovely examples of...

A hotel with a bathhouse also available to non-guests located a five minute drive from JR Anamizu Station. As its name implies, the hotel looks like a Japanese castle from the outside, and all guest rooms have a sweeping ocean view of Anamizu Bay. The hotel's vaunted bathhouse also boasts this gorgeous view and has a lie down bath, jacuzzi, and a bath filled with a monthly changing bath blend. The bathhouse' bedrock bath is only available to women and may be used on Thursdays, Saturdays, and Sundays. The hotel serves food made with fresh, seasonal ingredients; the dancing charcoal grilled oysters, an Anamizu specialty, are a particular draw. You can also enjoy seasonal Noto flavors like abalone, Noto beef, and local liquors.
