The park is comprised of two main areas. The first is the environment and welfare plaza. Here you’ll find a park golf course, play equipment, and a tree peony garden. A tree peony festival is held here around mid-April. The other area is the Ume Park. This area hosts one of the largest ume (Japanese apricot) gardens in the Tokai area, as well as a blueberry garden. An ume festival is held here around mid-February. Special events are also held at the park during which it bustles with visitors. It depends on the ripeness of the ume, but in general around early June you can also try picking ume in the park.

A sea ferry that connects Saganoseki Port in Oita Prefecture with Misaki Port in Ehime Prefecture. This is the shortest connection between Shikoku and Kyushu at 31 kilometers wide, taking about 70 minutes to cross. It is part of National Route 197 which connects Kochi City with Oita City, but instead of using a bridge to cross the water, it has a ferry passing over the sea. The ferry makes 16 round-trip crossings every day, from 7 a.m. until 11 p.m. Along with scenic view seats, shops, gallery seats, and group seating, there are a variety of accessible facilities including wheelchair accessible elevators (phone reservation required) and multipurpose bathrooms.

The Shiretoko Sightseeing Boat operates daily from the end of April to the end of October. The primitive landscape seen from the ship is an exceptional view. Due to its large size the ship is stable and does not rock so much. You can enjoy the scenery leisurely from either a non-reserved seat on the first floor or a reserved seat on the second floor, but the observation deck is recommended if you want to take great photos. It is about 50 minutes by bus from JR Shiretoko Shari Station. It takes about two hours by car from Memanbetsu Airport.

A gondola in Kanzanji-cho, Chuo-ku, Hamamatsu City, Shizuoka Prefecture that connects Kanzanji Station near Hamanako Palpal Theme Park with Okusayama Station near the Hamanako Orgel Museum. It's famous for being Japan's first gondola to cross over lake water and while crossing you get a beautiful 360-degree view of Lake Hamanako.

It looks great in pictures but its a very short ropeway and view is not that spectacular. There really is nothing to see on top besides the Music Box Museum which is really small.

Located in Izunokuni City, Shizuoka Prefecture, Ema is perhaps the largest strawberry picking facility in the prefecture. The center is only open during strawberry season, from December to around the Golden Week holidays (early May). Visitors can enjoy eating two strawberry varieties here: Akihime, a large sized strawberry cultivar originally developed in Shizuoka; and Benihoppe, a variety based on Akihime. During a picking session, visitors can eat as many ripe, sweet, and juicy strawberries as they like for 30 minutes, and condensed milk to top them with is provided for free. This aerial cable car now in service for 55 years has an altitude difference of 763 meters, the largest in the Kanto region. It also has three observation decks near Okunoin Station at the peak. The eastern observation deck near the station offers a grand panoramic view spanning from the Tenshi Mountains to Suruga Bay and the Izu Peninsula. It also features a view of Mt. Fuji selected as one of the 100 best in Kanto. In September, October, and November, the park hosts an event called Minobu Night Walk Sorawatashi for two days each month.

You can enjoy magnificent views of Unzen, designated as a part of Unzen-Amakusa National Park, from inside the gondola.
