    About five minutes by car from Towa Interchange on the Kamaishi Expressway. An experience facility where you can learn about Narushima Washi, the northernmost Japanese washi paper with a tradition of more than 300 years. Narushima Washi is a simple Japanese paper made with a mix of paper mulberry bark and panicle hydrangea. Known for its unique, inviting texture, today it is mainly used for calligraphy paper, stationery, postcards, crafts, etc. Visitors can also join in a washi paper making experience where they create their own paper. The facility is also the production base of Narushima Washi, and you can observe the process in the winter when paper making is in full swing.

After the bowls have been carved out, they are sent to a lacquer artisan to be lacquered and are then delivered to your home. The studio's shop sells beautiful bowls, chopsticks, and other warm and charming wood items.
