- "Shirakaba Heights is a hot spring and lodging facility in the Kameya Onsen in the foothills of Tateyama Mountains. An on-call shuttle bus takes visitors from Airmineguchi Station on the Toyama Chihou Railway in the city of Toyama, Toyama Prefecture. The water is said to be effective against lifestyle-related disease, and as a simple sulfur spring, it is good for alleviating nerve pain and rheumatism. The bathhouse includes an outdoor bath and sauna and a cold-water bath that uses 100% spring water. Day visitors may make use of the so-called ""Refresh Plan,"" which includes time in an individual room. Those who spend the night enjoy multicourse meals that feature both seafood and the products of the surrounding land. Shirakaba Heights also hosts banquets and provides conference rooms."

It is especially convenient for hiking around Lake Ozenuma and for climbing Mt. Hiuchigatake. The rest house can be reached in one hour from the Numayama Pass, the gateway to Oze from the Fukushima Prefecture side.
