    A two minute walk from Enoshima Electric Railway Hase Station. Look for the large, stylish red brick building. The communal area has a fireplace and bar and can be used by non-guests as well. There’s a women’s dormitory and a men and women’s dormitory with four person and two person (double/twin) rooms. A free breakfast is served in the morning. The facility also provides kimono and bicycle rentals and is visited by many international guests.

    Overall, a very pleasant stay. We arrived around 1:30 and were able to check in to our room early. The woman who greeted us spoke good English and was very kawaii and Genki! We really felt welcomed...

    A former ryotei traditional Japanese restaurant remodeled and turned into a guesthouse by the owner. The huge irori sunken hearth in the communal area is the guesthouse’s trademark. The facility is a relaxing, “pure Japanese” structure supported by 10 stout wood pillars. Guests are free to use the kitchen and can thus make their own food; the guesthouse also rents bicycles. The bar Little Planet opened underneath in October 2016. Guests can take food and drinks bought in the bar and bring them into the guesthouse above.

    A 20 minute walk or a 10 minute bus ride from Enoshima Electric Railway Yuigahama Station. A guesthouse operating out of an old Japanese-style home standing quietly in the Zaimokuza neighborhood, an area which once flourished as a port town. This tiny lodging facility has two private rooms and one dormitory-style room. On the weekends, the facility also operates as a café called Café Kamejikan. The café serves home-style dishes made with fresh, locally-grown vegetables. The café is open to non-guests as well and is a popular place for locals to stop by and relax in.

    Onfunayado Iroha is a boutique Japanese style hotel with restaurant located in Tomo Town, Fukuyama City, Hiroshima Prefecture. This building, a restored old townhouse (the former Uoya Manzo’s), is where the negotiations for compensation took place after a naval collision between two ships, the warship of the Kishu Domain and the Iroha-maru, the ship of Sakamoto Ryoma’s Kaientai (private navy) which lead to its sinking. The first floor is home to a restaurant which serves the specialty sea bream, and on the second floor is the ryokan with its appealingly modern stained glass among the sedate Japanese charm. The building is also noted for the design input it received at the time of its restoration from Hayao Miyazaki, the famous animation artist.

The bathhouse includes an outdoor bath and sauna and a cold-water bath that uses 100% spring water. Day visitors may make use of the so-called ""Refresh Plan,"" which includes time in an individual room.     I have been visiting this onsen regualarly for 7 years. I love its old-style atmosphere and beautiful waters. The outlook is lovely, into the mountains. You can get typical Japanese food here also...

    Odo Hot Spring Hashimoto is a hot spring inn located in the mountains in Oku Mikawa, and it boasts excellent kaiseki cuisine made from local, seasonal ingredients. The water from the spring is radioactive (natural radon) and is believed to be effective against rheumatism, high blood pressure, and nerve pain. While the inn is a great place to stay overnight, day use of the baths is also allowed. There are two family baths, one indoors and one outdoors. Soaking in the outdoor bath in the spring when the cherry trees are in full bloom is especially recommended. The inn has a large parlor that can hold up to 150 people. Groups can arrange to have the inn send a shuttle bus out to take them to and from Aikan-Umetsubo Station.
