Founded in Tokyo in 1948, this long-established coffee roaster opened in Kyu-Karuizawa in 1952 and is located in Karuizawa Town, Kitasaku County, Nagano Prefecture. It is popular as a place to casually enter during a stroll, and the cake set with their own roasted coffee is a popular choice. The Mocha-soft (ice cream) is known as a popular product of Karuizawa, loved for its rich taste and mild sweetness, and is also available for takeout. The interior of the shop has a retro atmosphere that gives one the impression of a Showa period summer home spot.

The cafe area is small and the staffs...

A lounge and café located in Hotel New Grand. Hotel New Grand is seen as the originator of the popular “yoshoku” Japanese-style Western dishes spaghetti Neapolitan, seafood doria, and pudding a la mode. The Café’s old-fashioned menu focuses on these three dishes and consists of high quality, hotel-style yoshoku cuisine. The Café also holds periodic special events like Premium Friday campaigns and special fair items are often added to the menu.

Even though the claim to fame for The Cafe is its being the birthplace of two Japanese western dishes, its worth visiting today. The Seafood Doria is one of those dishes and its worth the price...

A café located just down a hill from Miyanoshita Station. The café operates out of a remodeled building which once served as a dorm for the employees of the renowned Naraya Ryokan, an inn which had operated since the Edo period, before it closed. The abundance of plain, natural exposed wood in the café gives it a warm atmosphere, and here visitors can enjoy light meals like oven-fired pizzas, drinks, and sakes. Tokyo Chuou-ku Ginza 4-13-17 Takano Building 1F
A cafe located behind the Kabuki-za (theatre) in Ginza, Chuo City, Tokyo. In addition to coffee and other drinks, the shop YOU serves cafe standards such as Napolitan spaghetti, curry, and sandwiches. The cafe's omelet rice, in particular, has become its signature dish-sometimes lines of people will form out the door waiting just to enjoy the ketchup rice and perfectly half-cooked, fluffy omelet, still runny on the inside, served on top. The cafe's food dishes are also available for takeout.

We really liked the food here. It’s very simple but delicious. The place is very small and unfortunately they allow smoking but luckily we were near the aircon so didn’t feel it as much.

    Hokkaido Kamikawagumbieichou Motomachi 4-4-10
This eatery in Biei-cho is located about a 10-minute walk from the JR Furano Line's Biei Station. This store has cute brown outside walls and can be easily found from the Volkswagen in front, and is a restaurant loved in Biei that has been featured in magazines. They use specially selected meat from Hokkaido. They also stick to using sauces with no additives and homemade dressings. Their Ebi Don shrimp rice bowl filled with crispy fried shrimp is highly recommended. The exquisite taste comes from the secret sauce of condensed umami savoriness. Takeout is available for their original Jun Dog, a piece of B-grade cuisine with fried shrimp wrapped in rice.

Name is Junpei. Friendly staff. Simple but fun and excellent Katsu curry which is why I liked it so much. Off the beaten track as it’s not in the centre but a few blocks away and worth the effort

The café has a natural, West Coast style, an area closely connected to the peanuts. The café is divided into the roomy and playful first floor and a second floor which resembles the hideaway of a fervent collector. In addition to snacks and sweets themed after characters from the comic, the café also has a full dinner menu. The café has gained popularity as a place a mature adult can visit regularly. From the cafe on the first floor of the hotel you can see Kappa Bridge, a sightseeing focal point in Kamikochi. In the relaxed atmosphere of the cafe you’ll find Matsumoto mingei furniture. The recommended cake on the menu is the rare cheesecake. Its smooth melt-in-the-mouth texture is enhanced with a distinctive blueberry sauce. It is hard to get a good coffee in Japan and so I was very impressed with the coffee I had at this place. Maybe it is because of clean and clear water in Kamikochi. We didnt think too much of the...

    Tokyo Chiyoda-ku Kandajinbocho 1-11
Located close to exit A7 of Tokyo Metro Jimbocho Station. This cafe has been a local favorite ever since it first opened in 1955. The totem pole, retro red telephone, and other objects placed outside near the door give off an eccentric atmosphere. Conversely, inside, the cafe resembles a mountain cabin, and the brick walls are covered with graffiti left by patrons, engendering a retro atmosphere. The establishment's dim lighting helps customers to relax and forget the hustle and bustle of the city. One of the most popular items on the menu is the fresh strawberry juice, poured to the glass brim. Made with ripe strawberries and finely crushed ice, it can be enjoyed like a dessert.

This classical Japanese house styled café is in the Okage Yokocho area near Inner Ise Shrine in Ise, Mie. Everything from the classic look to every seat gazing over the Isuzugawa River lends to the soothing atmosphere. Both their rich, bitter, exquisite dark roast coffee, and their mellow light roast, made in genuine Nel drip coffee makers, are very popular. Their roll cake, made with Japanese Wasanbon sugar, available in a combo dish is highly praised.

This place serves nice coffee with an excellent view from the window. You can see the staff making coffee. I enjoy the view while having coffee.
