Chiefly they sell branded vegetables like Karuizawa Kirishita vegetables and other products such as processed foods and other goods. There’s also a restaurant where you can get some Shinshu specialties. In the cafe restaurant run by the local cheese factory you can try some local food and cheese dishes. The tofu shop sells sugar-free drinking tofu which is a popular tofu sweet. As well as a spacious lawn and event space they also have a cooking room where you can have a go at making soba noodles. Advance reservations are necessary for soba making classes.

    This farmers market opened in 2009 is located an 18-minute/10 kilometer drive from the Shibukawa-Ikaho interchange on the Kan-etsu Expressway via Prefectural Route 33. In addition to fresh picked vegetables, the market's diverse selection includes Mizusawa udon noodles, Ikaho Onsen manju buns, and fresh flowers. Of particular note is the market which sells local products straight from the producers. Selling organic vegetables, specially cultivated vegetables, and mineral-rich vegetables, all of the vegetables reassuringly bear the name of the producer and production area. Yukian, the market's restaurant, serves spicy, flavorful curry udon noodles.

    四万温泉の帰りに立ち寄りました、地元食材を求めて午前中訪問したのですが、期待した生鮮野菜は有りませんでした。店としては地方のスーパーと言う感じで、お土産を買い求めに立ち寄るほうが適切なのかもしれません。

Open daily from 7:30 a.m. to 12 p.m., on weekdays some 40 stands operate and 60 on weekends and holidays. The market is particularly famous for its squid ikizukuri sashimi, made with a variety of squid throughout the year. In addition to the squid, visitors are encouraged to try the mackerel ikizukuri, which is fast becoming a new specialty for the market. Take the Showa Bus bound for Yobuko at Oteguchi Bus Center in front of JR Karatsu Station and get off at the Yobuko stop; the market is just a three-minute walk from there. 30 minutes by car.

    野菜直売所巡りでここにたどり着く。レストラン併設で隣が野菜売り場、海の幸や肉類もあった気がする。他の直売所と比べて高級、品質も値段も高い。その中で見つけた豊水梨、ずっと食べたかったシャキシャキの甘酸っぱい梨、落涙モノ。お値段もしっかりしていたが久々に美味しい梨有難う。表には果樹などもたくさん売られ、いるだけで楽しい。
