    Hokkaido Kamikawa-gun Bieicho Takushin
    This gallery, operating out of the former Biei City Chiyoda Elementary School, was established by Shinzo Maeda, a world famous photographer of Japanese landscapes. The gallery displays numerous works by Made and his eldest son Akira, and visitors can enjoy gorgeous photos of the natural landscapes of Biei and other areas in Japan. There's also a shop selling prints, postcards, and photo collections.

    The Shiseido Gallery was originally opened in 1919, making it oldest surviving art gallery in Japan. The Shiseido Gallery's vision is to contribute to the discovery and creation of new types of beauty; focusing on contemporary art, the Gallery works actively to showcase art that embodies the contemporary era while demonstrating both cutting-edge innovation and purity. In 2001, the Shiseido Gallery reopened in the B1 level of the Tokyo Ginza Shiseido Building. With an exhibition space that features a ceiling that is more than five meters in height, making it the highest in the Ginza area, the new Shiseido Gallery has attracted a great deal of interest from international artists.

    Sake Storehouse Art Museum Gallery Tamamura Honten, which provides free sake tasting and tasting for two types of beer for a fee, is an art gallery in a brewery that was partly renovated 150 years ago. The exhibits feature a collection of paintings created over generations by the Sato family that runs the brewery. The works of Shinsui Ito, Heihachiro Fukuda, Kayo Yamaguchi, and Shoko Uemura are the main features.     The Naha City Traditional Arts and Crafts Center is located on the second floor of the Tenbusu Naha Building on Kokusai Street, around four minutes’ walk from Makishi Station on the Okinawa Urban Monorail (Yuirail) line. The Center boasts an impressive selection of works by Living National Treasures and examples of Naha’s traditional handicrafts. Monitors display video footage which shows the creation processes for different items in an easy-to-understand way. Visitors can also try their hand at five traditional crafts—Ryukyuan glass-blowing, Ryukyuan Bingata dyed cloth-making, Shuri cloth-making, Tsuboya-ware making, and Ryukyuan lacquerware-making.     This literature museum opened in 1991 amidst the Kurohime Highland in Shinano Town, Kamiminochi County, Nagano Prefecture, and is a facility which houses and displays fairytale and picture books from across the world. There are around 2,000 items related to German author Michael Ende, famous for “Momo,” and a permanent exhibit of the collection of Japanese representative storybook writer Miyoko Matsutani. The Fairytale Forest Gallery introduces works of artists with connections to the local area. Outside is the relocated mountain villa of picture book artist Chihiro Iwasaki, and it is possible to tour inside too.

    童話館前からの眺望はいいですね、妙高山も黒姫山も裾の広い山ですから横の広がりが感じられて雄大な景色が楽しめます。館内展示は大人には物足りないかな。

    A gallery primarily focusing on Kasama ware located on the Kasama Gallery Road a 20-minute walk from Kasama Station on the JR Mito Line. The gallery was opened in 2002 with the aim of being a space for exchange between artists in the country and around the world. Making use of a storehouse and gallery encircling a courtyard, charming wooden shelves scattered throughout the facility are covered with pottery. Harmonizing with the surrounding nature, the gallery makes use of natural lighting to show off its wares. In addition to displaying pieces by a selection of permanent artists, the facility also has a solo exhibition space whose contents changes every two weeks.

    Tokoname-ya is located in a remodeled abandoned wooden porcelain workshop, now reborn as a studio, gallery, cafe, and shop, and is one of the foremost places leading ceramics-center Tokoname’s revitalization. They have a public space available for parties, hobby classes and more, making it a lively place for local community building. It’s located eight minutes’ walk from Meitetsu Tokoname Line Tokoname Station.

    Great tea-house / restaurant. Beautiful and very good food Owner is quite friendly and food quality is great. Will definitely go back to this place.

    2005年、全面ガラス張りの3階建のアートギャラリーとして開館しました。ちょうど「ウィリアム・モリス ―英国の風景とともにめぐるデザインの軌跡」開催中だったので立ち寄りました。モリスのゆかりの地を撮影した風県写真ともに壁紙、家具、本、タイルの作品などが展示されていました。また、常設展は無料で開放されていました。

    This art gallery is dedicated to Higashi-Kagawa's local glove industry which produces 90% of the gloves made in Japan. The renovated hall was a glove factory until 2000. Exhibitions include items like sewing machines and antique Showa era glove making equipment. There are displays of gloves as well. They also sell gloves, have tours where you can take in the glove making process, and offer workshops where you can make small leather accessories.

    手袋の街ならではの施設で、昭和の手袋工場をリニューアルして手袋アートを展示しています。入館料は無料で、自由に見学できます。今まで見たことのない異様な空間でした。

    Machiya Gallery Yamakichi is a gallery housed within one of the old townhouses, or machiya, which has been designated as one of the nation’s Registered Tangible Cultural Properties. The building still retains the charm of the Edo period with its stylish black tiles and window grills. The gallery mainly handles pieces from local craftsmen and handicrafts made by traditional craftsmen with quite a range on offer such as salted salmon patchwork, and Uetsu shinafu (a kind of woven textile). Inside the building you can see the hearth and living room and also you can see furnishings like the old wooden panels and sliding doors which were fashionable at the time. The nearest station is Murakami Station.

The facility has a gallery which repurposes an old fuel oil kiln which is no longer used, as well as a gallery displaying pieces by young artists. The surrounding area is dotted with Shigaraki ware kilns and studios and is perfect for an exploratory walk.

    妻と車椅子押しながらの散策です、あと少しのところまで来たのですが、上り坂で砂利道に足が止まりながめていると(赤レンガの煙突)上のほうから小走りで、お家方が、向かい来てくださり、展示場まで案内と説明をしていただきました。妻と二人で心あたまる思いをいたしました・・・スカーレットの上り坂のを思いはせながらの素敵な所です。

    A 10-minute walk from Shigaraki Kohgen Railway Shigaraki Station. This gallery, and cafe/restaurant is a standard stop for tourists exploring Shigaraki on foot. In the cafe and restaurant on the first floor, you can enjoy food and drink while looking at some 200 pieces of pottery adorning the shelves. The restaurant's Omi beef bowl is a popular staple and comes with miso soup and Japanese pickles. The Japanese-style Omi beef barbecue combo meal, and the fried seafood udon with homemade noodles are also recommended. The gallery on the second floor displays and sells pottery. The gallery's contents are changed every two weeks.

    窯元散策路でヘトヘトに疲れて、ようやく見つけた喫茶店。 でも、近江牛の牛丼がリーズナブルに食べられて、ギャラリーもあります。 甘めの味付けですが、疲れたカラダにピッタリです。 混雑すると待たされますが、ゆっくり器を見て心地よく待てます。 いろんな定食があるので気になりますが、近江牛の柔らかさをまずは堪能すべきです。

    伊部駅から5分ほどです。備前焼の器でコーヒーをいただけます。気に入ったものがあれば、購入もできます。値段は高いですが、良いものがたくさんありました。

    A small museum dedicated to Gigantor and Sangokushi at the southernmost part of Taisho-suji Shopping Street. Look for the stone statue of Sun Quan located near the intersection with Rokkenmichi Shopping Street. The museum displays the late Mitsuteru Yokoyama's work and items related to it. Shin-Nagata is the hometown of this manga artist who is famous for Gigantor, the Three Kingdoms, and other comics. Panels highlighting his work, a Gigantor monument, and stone statues of the Three Kingdoms are set up throughout the town. There are also life-size figures from the series such as Zhuge Liang, fun interactive displays related to the manga including the Green Dragon Crescent Blade wielded by Guan Yu, and screenings of the original cartoons, drawing lots of tourists from Japan and around the world every day.

    横山光輝の漫画に因んだ三国志と鉄人28号のイベントを見たいと、神戸地下鉄駒ヶ林駅から大正筋通りを新長田駅へ向かって歩きました。残念ながら、大正筋商店街は定休日で、鉄人三国志ギャラリーなどの関連施設も閉まっていて、唯一見られたのが、三国志ガーデンでした。三国志の主要な登場人物の京劇?の面が並んでいますから
